To strengthen our Networking & Firewall team, we are looking for a new colleague.

As a Networking & Firewall Engineer, you will be responsible for implementing, managing and maintaining our customers network and firewall infrastructure. You'll work with internal teams and third-party vendors to ensure that network and firewall environments meet customer requirements for performance, security, and availability.

This versatile and challenging position is perfect to express your expertise and hands-on mentality:

• You are versatile and can work independently;
• You have a lot of contact with your direct colleagues for substantive support;
• You are an executive in setting up and adapting various IT solutions for our customers and know how to maintain the appropriate documentation;
• You analyze the possibilities in agreement with the customer;
• Together with your colleagues, you are responsible for various (large) migrations at the customer;
• You advise clients on sustainable technical solutions;
• You provide support in the event of (network) incidents;
• You participate in the 24/7 shifts.

• Experience with network and firewall technologies, such as Cisco, Check Point, Juniper, Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet, etc.
• Knowledge of network protocols;
• Experience with network monitoring and management tools;
• Understanding of network security practices and standards;
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure;
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills;
• Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, CISSP, NSE 4/5/6, etc., can be a plus.

A plus if you have this:

• Experience with wireless network support (Cisco, HPE Aruba, Meraki);
• Experience as a Service Desk employee or other customer support role;
• Knowledge of system administration (Linux, Windows, VMware);
• Experience with public and hybrid cloud networks;
• Knowledge and experience with data security and backup solutions (Rubrik, Veeam, IBM Spectrum Protect, Commvault).

Our ideal candidate:

• Completed HBO/WO education and/or HBO/WO working and thinking level;
• You have at least 2 years of experience as a network and infrastructure engineer;
• You have a passion for IT;
• You are analytical, assertive and have a hands-on mentality;
• Good command of the Dutch and English language;
• Thorough technical and commercial insight and a service-oriented attitude;
• You are independent and have a self-learning attitude;
• You have your driver's license (B) and are eligible for a VOG.
